The SSM2220P also offers excellent matching of the current gain to about 0.5% which will help to reduce the high order amplifier harmonic distortion. The SSM2220P prevents a base-emitter breakdown condition which can result in degradation of gain and matching performance due to excessive breakdown. The applications of the SSM2220P include: microphone preamplifiers, tape-head preamplifiers, current sources and mirriors, low noise precision instrumentation, voltage controlled amplifiers/multipllers.
